When we think of many important moments/people in mainstream Black History, many of the people, stories, moments are centered around Black men. In this presentation, we will be honoring the Black women who are often the silent parts of history and only talked about in proximity to the men in their lives. We will chat about Mamie Till, Shirley DuBois, Anna Murray Douglass, Amy Garvey, Louise Little, Betty Shabazz and the women of the Black Panther Party. All are welcome!
